 I've built it on two machines (PPC and Intel) from fresh 1700 installation
 of macports. libiconv is installed on both and works fine stand alone.
 Both machines give the same error, and macfuse refuses to mount if I use
 the iconv module and form/to code switches. Works fine without them.
