 I found the source of problem. There is a libJPEG.dylib on my system
 already which is actually conflicting with the libjpeg.dylib from
 macports.

 Now I have tried this in my ~/.profile and ~/.basrc :
 ''export
 DYLD_FALLBACK_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/local/lib:$DYLD_FALLBACK_LIBRARY_PATH
 ''
 It does not work :-(

 I have  renamed the libJPEG.dylib to libJPEG.dylib under:
 /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/ImageIO.framework/Versions/A/Resources

 And then created a symbolic link in there to
 /opt/local/lib/libjpeg.62.dylib

 But no luck! Any more ideas?
