New description:

 I'm on Mac OS X 10.4.11 Intel with Xcode 2.5 and MacPorts 1.7.0 and cannot
 build xorg-liblbxutil universal (i386 ppc). It fails with:

 {{{
 ld: common symbols not allowed with MH_DYLIB output format with the
 -multi_module option
 }}}
