 Originally, I downloaded an "everything.dmg" from the KDE site.  The
 "About" from a bunch of apps say "Using KDE 4.00.80 (KDE 4.0.80 >= (KDE
 4.1 Beta1)".

 Funny though, because I just started downloading KDE 4.1.2 before I
 checked email.  I will finish the update to KDE 4.1.2, retry GIMP, and
 report back in a bit.
