 To make it clearer (and with me properly using WikiFormatting):

 sudo port install graphviz +no_x11
 sudo port install ftgl
 }}}

 I must warn the option seems to completely disable X support for graphviz.
 There is Quartz support built as default, but I can't say if it will
 enable a gui or not for the graphviz package.
