Comment:

 mercurial now uses python26, so make sure you have mercurial 1.2.1_1
 installed; python26 has the socket SSL stuff built in, so nothing further
 should be required.

 Note that "sudo port upgrade python" doesn't make sense, there is no
 python port; for mercurial, which now uses python26, you want to upgrade
 that.  Also note that py25-socket-ssl is now a stub as it's included with
 python25, see #12369.
