 I intentionally didn't use the use the c compiler from the gcc port, only
 the fortran compiler. I have never tried using the c compiler supplied
 with the gcc ports, as there are no problems using the system c compiler
 and the specified fortran compiler. At least there are no problems that I
 am aware of.
