 I don't know how autoconf works, but I know that most other ports manage
 to use the programs identified by the CC, CXX and CPP environment
 variables that MacPorts sets for them, and that's we want ports to do as
 explained in UsingTheRightCompiler. Do you have any insight into how we
 could most easily convince this part of autoconf to play nicely with us?
