 I am trying to install mmencode in my local (non-root) port tree, but the
 need for root privileges:

 destroot        { system "install -o root -m 755 -d
 ${destroot}${prefix}/bin"

 ${worksrcpath}/mmencode \
 38                          ${destroot}${prefix}/bin"
 39                        system "install -o root -m 755 -d \

 42                          ${worksrcpath}/../man/mmencode.1 \
 43                          ${destroot}${prefix}/share/man/man1" }
 }}}

 Note the "-o root" sprinkled around. I am not sure what would be the
 MacPorts way to handle this, but it should not be difficult.
