Comment:

 Since I only have 10.4.11 ppc and it works on that as well then I need
 your help to understand what is happening on 10.5.

 The intent of the po_builder function is to do the following:


 {{{
 exec  "cp libs/ardour/po/el_GR.po libs/ardour/el_GR.po"
 exec  "msgmerge --update libs/ardour/el_GR.po libs/ardour/libardour2.pot"
 }}}

 So, paying attention to the two paths involved, at the point where
 msgmerge fails, has

 {{{
 libs/ardour/po/el_GR.po
 }}}

 been successfully copied to
 {{{
 libs/ardour/el_GR.po?
 }}}
