 Well, I'm not sure if this would be better. Yes, it would be more
 readable, but it would also add another variant. If a port has a platform
 variant then the user might think that the port will be compiled and/or
 installed differently just for that platform. This is not the case here as
 this is just a simple test if the user has a current Xcode version. This
 test is also used in the graphviz ports, see
 [http://trac.macports.org/changeset/47091].
