 I ran the following commands, to upgrade from v2.2.5:

 sudo port upgrade outdated
 }}}

 port installed gtk2

 The following ports are currently installed:
   gtk2 @2.12.9_0+x11
   gtk2 @2.14.7_1+x11
 }}}
