 It's:

 $ port installed cairo
 The following ports are currently installed:
   cairo @1.8.6_3+macosx
   cairo @1.8.6_4+macosx (active)
   cairo @1.8.6_4+macosx+quartz
 }}}
 I've discovered that I can leave out +quartz, and same the error still
 happens:
 {{{
  port install pango +no_x11
 }}}
