 I agree that issue needs to be fixed asap. But pyqt4 still works even
 though it hits the error during the activate. I am able to use pyqt4 at
 work like this. The problem is that the registry does not recognize that
 any of the files got installed so it cannot be uninstalled. Try this
 before and then after the install of py25-pyqt4 in ipython2.5:
