 Did the actual install of python24 fail as well?  Building the OSA module
 failed (and fails for me as well), but I don't see any further errors
 later in your output.

 Note that it appears that this is going to fail on 10.5, according to a
 [http://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-
 checkins/2007-December/063832.html python commit] which suggests some
 calls aren't available on 10.5 at all.  Since I don't think they will be
 further supporting 2.4 we'll just have to deal with the OSA module being
 unavailable with 2.4 on 10.5.
