 I just installed qt4-kde again with no problem.

 This type of error can happen if the installation process is stopped in a
 bad spot.[[BR]]
 I am a little surprised this is affecting so many people though.

 What seemed to work there was
 {{{
 port clean qt4-kde
 port selfupdate
 port install qt4-kde
 }}}

 I know that this is painful because qt4-kde is such a large port, but it
 is the best I can do since I can not reproduce the error.[[BR]]
 Please let me know if this works (or doesn't).
