 I think I'd rather go with a 'bin:mkfontdir' dependency in other ports
 than add the system_x11 variant to the individual X11 applications.  That
 way, you shouldn't actually get mkfontdir from MP unless you specifically
 request it.  What ports are you seeing this in?
