 please add the lines:

 PortGroup muniversal 1.0
 universal_variant yes

 to the lzo2 Portfile. Than it will build with the x86_64 universal flag
 set.

 file /opt/local/lib/liblzo2.dylib
 /opt/local/lib/liblzo2.dylib: Mach-O universal binary with 2 architectures
 /opt/local/lib/liblzo2.dylib (for architecture i386):   Mach-O dynamically
 linked shared library i386
 /opt/local/lib/liblzo2.dylib (for architecture x86_64): Mach-O 64-bit
 dynamically linked shared library x86_64
