 I was continuing to have problems as well but finally got some time today
 to look at it in more detail. After a few iterations I came up with a
 slightly revised patch that allows it to build for me on tiger ppc and am
 able to build other apps (epiphany, yelp) against the resulting xulrunner
 successfully as well.

 Revised patch committed in r51481.

 If this works for others will close the ticket.
