 I'm attaching config and build logs for this in case someone wants to take
 a look and doesn't have an intel 10.5.8 machine around...  Not sure when
 I'll have time to poke at it more than trying #21686's suggestion of
 removing the explicit {{{--target=}}} except for x86_64.
