 From browser, directly downloaded
 "http://downloads.xvid.org/downloads/xvidcore-1.2.2.tar.bz2". The file
 failed to decompress. Cleared cache, dscachutil -flushcache, restarted
 browser. New download decrypted fine and the checksum's matched the
 .profile.

 Manually removed:
 /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/XviD/xvidcore-1.2.2.tar.bz2

 Reran port checksum xvid and now it works correctly.

 Unable to explain why initial download retrieved a corrupted file.
