 update-desktop-database is part of the desktop-file-utils port, which
 geda-gaf does not list as a dependency. Installing desktop-file-utils
 before geda-gaf resulted in the following error:

 Error: Target org.macports.activate returned: Image error:
 /opt/local/share/mime/aliases
 already exists and does not belong to a registered port.  Unable to
 activate port geda-gaf.
 }}}

 A simple workaround is to install the geda-gaf port with xdg database
 updating disabled:
 {{{
 port install geda-gaf configure.args=--disable-update-xdg-database
 }}}
