 Building gforth from source on my own requires the following:

 CFLAGS="-arch i386 -m32" LDFLAGS="-arch i386 -m32" ./configure

 I'm not sure what is required to change and make sure it builds/links
 32bit on Snow Leopard but that's whats necessary from bare source.
