 BTW, I just spent this morning dealing with this (trying to build an
 all-i386 tree on Snow Leopard).  It's definately a case of forcing the
 perl5.8 to be i386.  However, even if you do that p5-locale-gettext will
 still try and build 64 bit.  Went in and hacked the Config.pl to change CC
 to gcc -arch i386 get around it for now.  I'm sure there must be a better
 solution.
