Comment:

 Corrected in @r59288.  Erlang attempts to use SSL by default, but the SSL
 path settings are only provided when building with the +ssl option.
 Correct configuration handling for this reality.  Confirmed both +ssl/-ssl
 on Snow Leopard.  Reports are that it works on Leopard.
