 Haven't yet filed a bug upstream about the fork() problem but I will do if
 I can't figure this one out.

 Concerning kdedinit4 not being abled to find kded4, I looked through the
 code in kdecore/kernel/kstandarddirs.cpp, and for sure it won't find any
 executables unless you add /Applications/MacPorts/KDE4 to your path.
