 I don't know, but I looked this file up and it was last changed 31 Oct
 2007. So I presume it was there from the beginning. Maybe it was created
 when I installed gcc for the first time, or it came with one of the OS X
 updates?

 Let me guess: this is an old 32-bit library and he is trying to link
 something 64-bit against it? So I have to install a newer, 64-bit version
 of *something* to fix the problem?
