Comment:

 gtk-doc added as a build dependency in r59853; it's needed because the
 port uses {{{use_autoreconf}}} which needs gtk-doc m4 files, hence gtk-doc
 is needed.  I'm guessing once the need for autoreconf is gone, gtk-doc as
 a dependency can be removed.
