 I can't build VLC 1.0.1 on Snow Leopard:

 checking for SWSCALE... no
 configure: error: Could not find libswscale. Use --disable-swscale to
 ignore this error. Proper software scaling and some video chroma
 conversion will be missing.
 }}}

 I have all the dependencies installed as x86_64/i386 universal binaries
 but VLC won't build (neither x86_64/i386 universal nor plain x86_64).
