 OK, I'm sorry I didn't wait long enough. After 15 minutes and 3 GiB of
 swap space accumulated (huh), it finally succeeded (running on macbookpro
 2009 w/ 2.53 core 2 duo and 4 GiB RAM).

 Maybe parallel build could be disabled for this port to reduce RAM usage?
 CPU does not seem to be the bottleneck on regular hardware for this build
 (I monitored system monitor and it was basically swapping all the time).
