 I cannot reproduce this, you clearly have autoconf-2.64 installed. Can you
 generate the full debug output and attach it to this ticket:

 {{{
 sudo port clean automake
 sudo port -d install automake | tee automake-debug.log
 }}}

 Also attaching {{{`port dir automake`/work/automake-1.11/config.log}}}
 would help.
