 Here's how I obtained a working version of vim-app on a Macbook 2.1
 running 10.6.1, stock install of Xcode 3.2 from the Snow Leopard DVD
 except with the 10.4 sdk checked:

 1) Build the dependencies of vim-app as variant universal

 2) sudo port -d install vim-app +cscope configure.compiler=gcc-4.0
 configure.build_arch=i386
