 Ok, so it's not executable, and it needs to be. I can't imagine how that
 came to pass. Since I don't know what else is wrong in your freetype, I
 was going to suggest rebuilding it, but your output above shows you just
 installed it, so I don't know.

 If you want to try rebuilding it, you can do so like this:

 {{{
 sudo port -n upgrade --force freetype
 }}}

 If that doesn't fix it, you can make it executable manually:

 {{{
 sudo chmod 755 /opt/local/bin/freetype-config
 }}}

 Is there something unusual about the disk this is installed on? Is it
 using HFS+ or case-sensitive HFS+ or some other file system? Anything else
 you can think of that might be unusual about your system?
