 I upgraded from Leopard to SL, then upgraded Macports, then ran "sudo port
 upgrade --force installed"

 At this point, things were running along and compiling as expected when I
 got the same error from hfs_format.h, but when attempting to build
 python26.  I saw that python26 has some potential issues and am building
 it with the +universal variant.
