 Apparently I'm on a hiding to nothing here as it's impossible to get
 qt4-mac with qt3 on Snow Leopard (see #21448).  So, unless a new version
 of qtiplot is likely to turn up that doesn't need the qt3 support then I'm
 out of luck.
