 No, everything will be in /opt/local/

 it.  What I am thinking is are their environment variables such as
 Microsoft's OS that I would need to consider removing as part of the
 procedure?

 There should be nothing else affected. You can adjust your .profile to
 remove {{{/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin}}} from your path though.
