Comment(by imgroxx@…):

 Installing "libxml2 @2.7.4_0" (via "install libxml2") allowed the build to
 complete without error.

 As activating fontconfig takes so long without any messages, can I request
 a message like "updating fc-cache..." ?  I won't make a ticket out of it,
 because it's only UI polish, unless someone thinks it's worth it.
