 VIPS (graphics/vips) builds successfully on 10.6 Snow Leopard, but when
 run on the command line it returns:

 zsh: abort      vips

 A crash log is reported in the system log (hostname & username changed;
 otherwise verbatim):

 Sep 27 17:04:38 hostname vips[95848]: [95848] stack overflow
 Sep 27 17:04:38 hostname ReportCrash[95849]: Saved crash report for
 vips[95848] version ??? (???) to
 /Users/username/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/vips_2009-09-27-170438_Hostname-2.crash

 The crash report is attached.

 Build machine is Mac Pro x86_64, Snow Leopard 10.6.0, Macports 1.8.0
