 Just wanted to say i had the same issue. But after reading here I figured
 it must be a library I had in an 32 bit versoin of only. And now i've used
 +universal to install python. The local depends n gettext for me
 (libintl.8.dylib). To fix uninstall python and fix dependency then
 reinstall :)
