 The directry-selection features (including Filter) fail to work properly.
 This makes it difficult to save a file where you want to save it.  Op sys
 OS X 10.6.

 Also, upon startup, nedit reports: "UTF8 locale not supported."  Sorry, no
 log available.  Here follows a sample of errors reported when I was
 attempting to get the File dialogue box to work:
