 macports 1.8.1 on 10.4.11 PPC
 apple-gcc42-devel port version 5564_0

 fails toward end of build due to issues with target i386. getting rid of
 this target in either the portfile or in macports.conf allows the build to
 complete properly. See attached console log for more info.
