 +no_bdb is only there because you insisted on it. I'd be more inclined to
 just remove it ;-)

 pango appears to be looking for a .pc file that only gets installed with
 cairo's quartz variant, so that's not going to work for this. I suppose we
 could parse the output of apu-1-config - but that seems somewhat messy
 (and it might be possible to build apr-util with dbd support and
 subversion without it which could generate the same sort of problem).
