 Same problem here. I manually did
 {{{
 cd
 "/opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_archivers_zlib/work/zlib-1.2.5"
 sudo make all
 }}}

 Notice: make all, without the '''-j2''' option. Then I ran `sudo port -v
 install zlib` to finish the installation.
