Hi, I have also received this message several times over the last few
weeks.
The download mirror for me was: ftp://ftp.cmbi.ru.nl/pub/molgraph/molden/
The specifics (from "sudo port -d install molden"):

Error: Target org.macports.checksum returned: Unable to verify file

I downloaded the immediately previous version (4.8) from the cmbi website,
and ran openssl on that tarball, where I got different results to either:
MD5(molden4.8.tar.gz)= 49d474b7985a1022b2024fa0e1acecd5
SHA1(molden4.8.tar.gz)= afc0e413c15d8bc9602fd6b79d341cf8a5b19adb
RIPEMD160(molden4.8.tar.gz)= 54538b8d83e879b3a9fdf1164a6ce0828aab24b4
Per your FAQ on checksum errors, I tried to find a version of 4.9 that
matches the checksum on Macports, but could not do so.
Hope this helps.
