 Python 2.6 is the current version shipped with the OS; Python 2.4 is the
 next version of Python to be dropped from MacPorts. The inability to
 function with py26-twisted (or any version above 2.4) hardly sounds fine.

 Either way, I suspect the real problem is the incorrect version of python
 is being used. If you install it under one version and run a different
 version then it won't be found.
