Comment:

 Why are you using -f?  Be sure to [wiki:FAQ#whentoforce read the FAQ
 entry] as using -f at the wrong time could be a very bad thing.

 In this particular case, it looks like you are simply not using sudo:

 sudo port activate py-gobject
 }}}
