 Attached are the updated patch files that I used to get 1.4.0 to compile.
 0003 did not need to be updated because it makes changes to a new file
 created by one of the previous patches. Portfile needs to be updated as
 well to use version 1.4.0 and matching md5sum etc. But then you can launch
 gnome and it works pretty well.
