 Unfortunately things won't just downgrade and work there's no sense
 rolling back the version of the portfiles.

 Likely we can continue to wait for the next release (4.6) as it's right
 around the corner. If you're interested, I'll update the existing ports to
 be beta of the 4.5 branch. Any interested in this course of action
 instead?
