 I did a port upgrade outdated. Maxima was already at the correct version
 but a few things updated, including sbcl. Then I ran maxima and got:

 $ maxima
 fatal error encountered in SBCL pid 74921:
 can't load .core for different runtime, sorry

 If I uninstall and reinstall maxima, all is good:

 $ maxima
 Maxima 5.22.1 http://maxima.sourceforge.net
