Comment:

 The upstream bug suggests building separately for each architecture and
 lipo'ing together, so I switched to the muniversal portgroup and removed
 the no_embedded_server variant (mysql5: r63491; mysql5-devel: r63495). I
 think with that we can consider this ticket resolved.
